Endo-ERN was present at the 4th ERN Conference on 21 and 22 November in Brussels, Belgium! We were present with ten delegates from five different countries. Both adult and paediatric endocrine experts, as well as patient representatives, attended the event. The lively conference featured two full days of presentations and debates, driven by plenary sessions and eight parallel workshops.

The conference focused on the need to consolidate the networks and examined some of the challenges that lie ahead. It touched upon several important topics such as the integration of ERNs into national health systems, the potential of ERNs in developing clinical guidelines for rare diseases, and the Clinical Patient Management System. Several sessions addressed the long-term sustainability of the ERN.

Endo-ERN Coordinator, Alberto Pereira, had a plenary lecture in the Plenary Round table IV.”ERNs’ Main challenges for the future”, which was very well attended.

We found the whole event very inspiring and are proud to be a part of the work the 24 ERNs will accomplish.
