The University Hospital of Endocrinology, Medical University Sofia (USHATE) is the only Bulgarian hospital with over 50 years of experience in the treatment of patients with rare endocrine diseases. The hospital has received the highest level of competence for diagnosis and treatment of patients with endocrine diseases according to the Bulgarian health legislation. Therefore, most adolescent and adult patients with rare endocrine diseases from all over the country are treated in the hospital. The First Clinic of Endocrinology of the USHATE is a specialised clinic for diagnostics and treatment of patients with pituitary and adrenal tumours, congenital and acquired hypopituitarism, insipid diabetes, endocrine hypertension, ovarian and testicular dysfunction, PCOS, disorders of puberty and sex development (DSDs), primary ovarian insufficiency and premature menopause. The physicians have specialised in the most prestigious European endocrine centres and have a huge experience in the field of pituitary, adrenal and gonadal pathology. The First Clinic of Endocrinology of the USHATE has 35 hospital beds and a day case unit for outpatient procedures for diagnostics of thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and gonadal diseases.
