Marianna Viukari applied for the Clinical Exchange Programme with the hope of traveling to the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich – Adrenal Center to increase her knowledge of rare adrenal disorders and stimulate collaboration with the Munich center. She had a particular interest in the transition of patients with CAH from the paediatric clinic to the adult including the medical treatments of this patient group.

 

Marianna reported her positive experience, “It was great to get a chance to meet top experts in their fields and hear their insights on managing rare diseases. During the exchange I gained knowledge of examinations, practices and treatments that are not yet applied in my own center.”

 

She also noted, “ I have obtained insight in care pathways that are useful for my own hospital.”
