Virtual consultations to access experts in #raredisease is a foundational activity of all European Reference Networks (ERNs).  The Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS) is the software that allows patient data to be shared, and secure discussions to take place. 

In close partnership with the ERNs, the next-generation of CPMS has been developed and is now available - CPMS 2.0.  Find out more about the improvements that make CPMS 2.0 more intuitive to use, and an integral tool for accessing expertise and advice for your patients with rare endocrine conditions.

NEW: CPMS 2.0 features

With the input of all ERNs, DG Sante and implemented by IBM, the new CPMS 2.0 addresses many of the challenges that users experienced with the CPMS system. 

While the improvement process is ongoing, and the implementation of the CPMS 2.0 app will be a game-changer, there are many new convenient and time-saving features.  Find out more, including how simple it is to involve experts from another ERN.

SAVE THE DATE: CPMS 2.0 Recurring Meetings

To help Endo-ERN members plan more effectively, recurring meetings have been set for some of the MTGs.  The full listing is now available.  

IMPLEMENT: HCP Permission & Consent

Every data protection officer (DPO) or office of each ERN member hospital was contacted by DG Sante about patient consent prior to the launch of CPMS 2.0.  It is the responsibility of each member Healthcare Provider (HCP) to engage with the efforts to permit smooth and easy access to CPMS 2.0.  You will find more information about permission and consent on the Endo-ERN website and in the FAQ document provided by DG Sante.

NEW: More roles in CPMS 2.0

CPMS 2.0 has taken the real-world hospital workflow in to consideration and has added new users types to make virtual consultations easier to initiate.

ERN Clinician:  healthcare professional member of any ERN

Clinician Guest:  healthcare professional who is not a member of an ERN

    • Non-ERN Clinician:  can enroll a patient and seek advice from other ERN members.
    • Limited non-ERN Clinincian:  can share their expertise and consult on cases 

Assistant:  Specific role for medical/personal assistants who are linked to a clinician.  They act 'on behalf of' a clinician and cannot perform patient-related actions on their own.
