Endo-ERN activities are defined in five work packages throughout different phases. Phase 1 entails survey, evaluation and strategic planning; phase 2 involves the stepwise execution / implementation of the planning; phase 3 wraps up the implementation and works towards producing guidelines and the establishment of a network that can be sustained beyond the five-year plan.

The Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS) is a secure web-based application to support European Reference Networks in the diagnosis and treatment of rare or low prevalence complex diseases or conditions across national borders.
The Connecting European Facility (CEF) is a funding programme of the Europe 2020 Strategy in the sectors of transport, energy and telecommunications. Endo-ERN applied for the specific eHealth Digital Service infrastructure within the telecom call.
